The laboratories play a vital role in ensuring every product that leaves our facility meets strict regulatory and company standards. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Quality and Laboratory team. This role is essential in supporting product testing, maintaining laboratory operations, and ensuring the consistent quality our consumers

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct microbiological checks on various Coca-Cola products within the laboratory.
  • Collect samples from the production area and prepare them for incubation.
  • Maintain accurate spreadsheets and documentation in line with quality assurance procedures.
  • Apply a range of laboratory techniques to support team members in performing qualitative and quantitative testing and characterisation of samples, raw materials, reagents, and finished products.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper functioning of laboratory equipment, and assist with monitoring laboratory supplies including materials, chemicals, consumables, and waste disposal.
  • Perform product testing and sampling activities.
  • Calibrate water testing equipment.
  • Test syrup batches as required.
  • Accurately record and analyse data.
  • Assist on the production line and support troubleshooting activities when needed.
  • Sterilise laboratory equipment using an autoclave.
  • Safely operate a Bunsen burner.
  • Work on your feet for extended periods; physical fitness is essential.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 kg to transfer stock to trolleys for laboratory testing (not repetitive but must be capable).
  • Confident use of Microsoft Excel is required.

Qualifications

  • A relevant qualification is preferred, such as a Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques, Diploma of Laboratory Technology, or studies in Chemistry, Microbiology, or Food Technology.
  • Previous laboratory testing experience is desirable but training can be provided.
  • Experience in a food manufacturing or laboratory environment—particularly within the grain industry—is advantageous but not essential.
